YouMom provides the following services
Impacting expecting and new moms ages 13-32
1. Outreach services to two High Schools in Palm Beach County that include mentoring, life-skills, and goal-setting sessions along with gifting much-needed life-sustaining items such as diapers, wipes, formula, and hygiene products.
2. Group Sessions to expecting moms as they journey to motherhood that includes education in the area of labor and delivery, breastfeeding, nutrition matters, healthy relationships, spiritual growth, postpartum depression, goal and vision settings, and long-term outcomes.
3. Group Sessions for young moms as they walk through a new parenting life. These sessions encompass parenting classes, life skills, financial, mental, spiritual, life, and career coaching. This program provides long-term support up to a maximum of 7 years.
4. Financial support that includes subsidies for childcare and housing.
5. Celebration of Choice and Life is a memorable experience that we give the expecting mom a baby shower packed with faith, food, fun, and favorite baby necessities required for them to start the entrance to the world with their baby right
OUR HISTORY
YouMom was created in 2010 when the Lord placed it on Aimee Nelson’s heart to create a ministry that demonstrated how the practical application of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness can effectively change the narrative in a teen and young adult mom’s life. The process of a teen and young adult mom walking away from the abortion clinic is the first step of change. Our team of believers through spiritual and professional support guides them through their journey, as they allow God to help them to rewrite the next chapter of themselves and their unborn baby and in some cases newborn baby’s life. Creating community, connection, and a safe space for them to grow, dream, and hope again.
To date, we have served over 250 teens and young adult moms who have courageously chosen life and walked through our programs. Additionally, another 400 young moms have been resourced and supported with other services. Of the total moms served, 20% have dedicated their lives to Christ and have been connected to a Bible-teaching church in their local community and chosen ethnicity. Another God story includes 10% of the total moms served have dedicated their newborn babies to the Lord as well.

In our program, we average 75-100 active expecting and young moms. However, certain outreach events allow us to reach others who may or may not access services.

Secure stable housing for young mothers
Provide safe and stable housing for young moms and their children. This will offer them a secure foundation from which to build their lives. Additional program operating costs will include emergency assistance for support as needed.
Ensure regular daycare attendance by the children of the young mothers
As we secure subsidy resources for moms in our program, we want to ensure barriers to employment are not a hindrance. Thus, small stipends will be provided for childcare services.
Enhance the mental health of participants
Administer pre- and post-project mental health assessments to assess changes in participants' well-being.
Facilitate access to education or employment opportunities for young mothers
Monitor the enrollment in education or employment programs, as well as track job placements.

VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteer your time and talents and join a group. Simple gestures like providing a meal ensure our mothers leave with a nourished body. They also need mentoring and assistance in setting up budgets, meal planning, navigating services, and parental advice. Volunteering is a wonderful way for your small groups, life groups, and women’s ministries to walk alongside these growing families in practical ways.
